Accessibility Statement
The Kohala Coast Community Fund is dedicated to making our digital presence accessible and welcoming for everyone across Hawaiʻi Island and beyond. We continuously work to ensure our website meets modern accessibility standards so all community members can easily explore our programs and resources.

Effective Date: July 31, 2026
Last Updated: July 31, 2026
The Kohala Coast Community Fund ("KCCF") believes that the web should be accessible to everyone, regardless of ability, background, or technology. We are committed to ensuring our website, located at kohalacoastfund.org, provides an inclusive and barrier-free user experience for all visitors, grant applicants, donors, and partners.
1. Conformance Standard
We strive to align our digital experience with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA standards. These internationally recognized guidelines define how to make web content more accessible for people with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities.
2. Measures Taken to Support Accessibility
To maintain a clean and accessible user experience across our Webflow site, KCCF incorporates the following design and technical practices:
- Keyboard Navigation: Structuring pages so that interactive elements, menus, and forms can be navigated using a standard keyboard interface.
- Alternative Text (Alt Text): Adding descriptive alt text to meaningful imagery to assist visitors using screen readers.
- Color & Contrast: Ensuring text and visual elements meet recommended color contrast ratios for high legibility.
- Clear Hierarchy: Utilizing consistent header structures (Title Case H1, H2, H3) and straightforward layouts to make content easy to read and scan.
- Responsive Design: Optimizing layouts to render cleanly across desktop, tablet, and mobile displays, as well as varying screen resolutions.
- Accessible Forms: Labeling form fields clearly so users can easily submit grant inquiries, applications, and general messages.
3. Third-Party Platforms
Our website integrates with trusted third-party tools to support donor contributions and operations (such as Bloomerang for online giving). While we advocate for full accessibility across all partner services, some elements provided by external platforms may be outside our direct control. We actively select partners who prioritize security, compliance, and user accessibility.
4. Feedback & Assistance
Accessibility is an ongoing journey, and we are constantly working to improve site usability. If you experience any difficulty accessing information, navigating a page, or filling out a form on our website, please let us know. We welcome your feedback and will work to provide the information you need through an alternative, accessible format.
