This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website at kohalacoastfund.org (the "Site").

Please read this policy carefully. By accessing or using our Site, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that identifies, relates to, or describes you ("Personal Information") in two ways: information you provide voluntarily and information collected automatically.

  • Newsletter & Updates: Email address when signing up for community news, impact reports, or workforce updates.

B. Information Collected Automatically

When you navigate the Site, our hosting platform (Webflow) and third-party analytics tools may automatically log technical data, including:

  • Device & Usage Data: Browser type, operating system, IP address, device type, language settings, referring URLs, pages viewed, and time spent on the Site.
  • Cookies & Tracking: Small data files stored on your browser to support site functionality and understand how visitors interact with our content.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for straightforward organizational purposes, including:

  • Evaluating and processing grant inquiries and application proposals.
  • Pairing grantees with dedicated mentors and strategic advisors.
  • Sending newsletters, organizational updates, and annual impact reports (you may opt out at any time).
  • Responding to general questions, partnership inquiries, or donor communications.
  • Monitoring site performance, preventing security threats, and optimizing user experience on Webflow.

3. Third-Party Services & Financial Administration

We do not sell, rent, trade, or monetize your Personal Information. We only share information with trusted third-party service providers necessary to operate our organization:

  • Online Donation Processing (Bloomerang): Online contributions submitted through our Site are processed using Bloomerang, a secure donor management and payment platform designed for non-profit organizations.
    • Payment Security: Bloomerang maintains PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance and SOC 2 Type 2 security certification to protect financial transactions and personal data.
    • Information Collected: When you make a donation, Bloomerang collects required details (such as your name, billing address, email address, payment card details, and donation amount) to process your contribution, issue tax receipts, and maintain donor records.
    • No Stored Credit Card Data: KCCF does not store credit card numbers, CVVs, or bank account details on our Webflow servers. All payment transactions are encrypted and handled directly by Bloomerang's payment gateway.
  • Hosting & Web Infrastructure: Our Site is hosted on Webflow, which securely manages page rendering, form submissions, and SSL encryption across the domain.
  • Communications & Analytics: We may use trusted third-party services (such as Google Analytics or email platforms) to measure site performance and send periodic impact updates.

4. Cookies and Web Analytics

Our Site uses standard cookies and tracking scripts to improve user experience and measure traffic patterns.

  • Essential Cookies: Required for basic site navigation, form functionality, and page loads.
  • Analytics Cookies: Help us understand which pages, resources, and grant information are most useful to our visitors.
